Gnight.
You are so IMPORTANT.
You are someone's aching unrequited love, you are the cherished child, you are the friend who answered the late-night call and changed everything, you are someone's reason for getting up again.
You don’t see it yet.
But you are.
We face defeat
But we are not defeated.
Knocked down
But not knocked out.
A loss
But all is not lost.
Hope is the active conviction that despair will not ever have the last word.

We can't stop fighting. Progress doesn't happen overnight. It can be painful. It can be slow. But now is the time to roll up our sleeves, knock on doors, and register people to vote. In one month we have the chance to vote and stand up for the country we love.
If you think authoritarianism cannot happen here in America, I lived through a time when it already did: to 120,000 Japanese Americans, most of us citizens. It starts by dehumanizing a group, then spreads through fear, ignorance and hate. Recognize the patterns. Remember history.
@wilw Thank you for this. I too live with chronic depression and anxiety and I am not ashamed. By speaking our truth to others hopefully it inspires them to ask for help. Just like you, rubbing my dog's belly always helps me feel better.
Just over 72 hours ago, we had another school shooing. 10 PEOPLE DIED AND 13 WERE INJURED. Just a reminder as it seems like we have already moved on. Please confirm for me that people are still paying attention and still plan to do something. Make this a single issue election
Alright, team. We’re just going to come out and say it:
We’ve got a lot of bagels.
Too many bagels.
And we need your help tomorrow to get them all eaten.
Just a reminder that a “nonviolent” protest isn’t a protest that’s supposed to make you feel warm & fuzzy afterwards. One of the primary points of protest is to make people uncomfortable with conditions as they exist.
Don’t conflate nonviolence & comfort.
Medicaid does more than help low-income Americans afford health care, it also pays for everything from treatment for substance abuse to support for children with special needs. We must protect it.
