A 32-year-old Bank of America vice president has been identified as the woman killed in a random stabbing attack in the heart of Times Square.

Erin Piacenti, of Chester, New Jersey, was one of two people stabbed. Police say the attacker struck twice within roughly 20 seconds. A 68-year-old man was also wounded and is in stable condition.

"We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague," Bank of America says, calling Piacenti a "valued teammate."

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch describes the violence as a "random and unprovoked attack."

A mentally-ill woman was allowed to stab a Bank of America Executive to death in broad daylight in the middle of Times Square.

Big cities like New York are no longer safe for families or businesses.

This was avoidable. We used to put the dangerously mentally-ill in asylums. We stopped.

Toxic empathy is getting innocent people murdered by lunatics who should have been institutionalized.

Over the last 40 years, state psychiatric hospital beds in the U.S. have dropped 76% — from 111,135 in 1986 to 25,845 in 2026.

That did not help the sick. It put them on the street and left law-abiding citizens to pay for it.

It's time to put people who are a danger to themselves and others back where they belong.

Re-open the asylums.

New York’s roughly 25,000 Amish are warning they may leave the state as their fight over school vaccine mandates heads toward another Supreme Court petition.

Their schools have already faced massive fines for refusing vaccination requirements on religious grounds.

I stand with the Amish on this one.
