AI is no longer something you “integrate” into backend systems. It’s becoming part of the backend architecture itself.
For a long time, backend engineering was about APIs, databases, queues, and scaling reliable systems. That hasn’t changed, but the systems we’re building now are different.

They are:
• AI driven
• Data heavy
• Less deterministic, more adaptive

Why UPI Transactions Feel Instant - But Aren’t ⚠️

Today, a friend sent me some money. The transaction immediately appeared in my UPI app’s history - but my account balance wasn’t updated even after a few hours.

This reminded me of a similar experience from a few months ago.
I paid my house rent via UPI. The transaction showed as successful, yet the debit was reflected in my bank balance later.
