📌 Quick DM note:
I’m happy to hear from readers, fellow writers, artists, and other real humans. 😊
However, please do not DM me to sell commissions, artwork, marketing, promotion, editing, publishing services, or other paid services. I’m not currently hiring, and repeated sales pitches after I’ve declined will be ignored or blocked.
If you’re messaging me for a genuine conversation and we don’t already know each other, please include “purple potato” 🥔💜 somewhere in your first message so I know you actually read this.
Otherwise I may assume the DM is automated or spam and block it. 😂
From the Workbench today:
No Graves in the Garden just crossed a pretty big line.
The first novel has finished its publication pass. Chapters have been consolidated, titled, formatted, continuity-checked, and cleaned up into the structure I want for Royal Road. 💜
Which means I’m no longer staring at Chapter 1 thinking, “Someday.”
We’re at the point where the book itself is ready, and I can start thinking in terms of publishing and scheduling instead of another giant editing pass. 😂
Meanwhile, The Villain’s Cat Has a Hit List is moving up the workbench as I start getting its novel documents organized so it can follow the same path: write it, lock it, then move it into IAN production.
And somewhere in between all of that, I’ve been testing new image and video tools because apparently the studio needed another rabbit hole. Naturally. ☕😂
Things are starting to shift from “building projects” to “actually releasing projects,” and that feels very, very good.

The Workbench has been suspiciously quiet for a few days, but I haven't vanished into the foliage. 🌿
I've been tucked away behind the scenes bouncing between game development, translation work, stream prep, and the usual collection of projects that somehow multiply when I'm not looking.
So, hi! 👋 Still here. Still building things. Still occasionally remembering that I'm supposed to tell the internet about them.
More from the Workbench soon. 💜
Friday studio check-in:
This week has mostly been about getting the messy middle under control.
Zoomie’s development setup is getting cleaner, the project structure is making more sense, and I’m slowly turning “where did I put that?” into “Future Me might actually know what’s going on.” 😂
Not every bit of progress needs a grand announcement.
Sometimes it’s just fewer loose ends, better notes, and a little more confidence about what comes next. ☕💜

From the Workbench today:
A lot of this week has been about building solid foundations instead of rushing toward the shiny finish line. 😂
Zoomie is getting its development documents cleaned up and brought back into alignment, and I’m moving the project into Unity with a much more beginner-friendly setup than I’ve used before.
That means step-by-step checklists, full code files instead of scattered snippets, clear notes on where everything goes, and enough documentation that Future Me hopefully won’t be staring at the screen asking, “Why did Past Me think this was obvious?”
And over on the writing side, No Graves in the Garden just hit a very satisfying milestone:
Chapter 1 is ready for Royal Road. 💜
I’m holding off on publishing for a little longer while I finish a few more chapters and build a small buffer, so the story can launch with some breathing room instead of immediately turning into a deadline chase.
Not every productive week looks dramatic from the outside.
Sometimes progress is building the road, stocking the supplies, and making sure you’re not starting the journey with one granola bar and blind optimism. ☕😂

Worldbuilding lesson of the week:
You can map continents, climates, ecosystems, and thousands of years of history...
and still somehow forget red pandas. 🐾😂
So now KarmaSS has master flora + fauna checklists in progress.
Yes, ferrets and rats made the list too.

From the Workbench today:
No Graves in the Garden is deep into another editing pass, Pieces of Fate is currently living in that strange research-and-implementation space where the world keeps getting bigger every time I touch it, and my computer has temporarily been reassigned to third-grade K12 duty because the school laptop still hasn’t arrived. 😂
So the studio is operating on a very sophisticated system right now:
Child finishes classes → computer is released → I descend upon it.
Not glamorous, but the work is still moving.
NGG is getting tighter, Pieces of Fate is getting a stronger foundation, and I’m learning to make progress in whatever size window the day decides to hand me.
Creative work doesn’t always happen under perfect conditions.
Sometimes the workbench is also a classroom. ☕💜

Labor Day inside the studio:
Kids home.
Coffee nearby.
Projects multiplying quietly in the background. 😂☕
Today’s plan is simple: work where inspiration lands and let the rest wait its turn.
