@JEChalmers I used to work in print media distribution. When newsagents had their deliveries stolen, I’d ask if they had a secure delivery location and they’d say “nuh, but there is CCTV”. I’d respond “that just lets you watch the crime happen after the fact, it doesn’t prevent it”.

This new report from @ACOSS shows just how cooked 🇦🇺’s housing system is with the govt spending billions $$ more on tax concessions for investors than they do on social housing, homelessness services & rent assistance.

I’ve had the parliamentary budget office model some really sensible changes to cap some of these concessions & continue to call for the govt to start treating housing as a human right.
