The upcoming Nagaland movie Angh shows how demographic change took place through the influence of Christian missionaries.

The story is set in the 1960s and follows Anghva, a Konyak tribal chief, whose son comes under the influence of Christian missionaries and becomes attracted to Christianity and the new faith, leaving behind his tribal culture. This leads to conflicts within Anghva’s family.

The film also explores how Nagaland’s Christian population grew from around 2% to 87%.
