@mohammedali_93 Don’t be so dramatic. They played quite well for majority of the game. The start of the season is difficult fixtures wise. They will easily finish in the middle at least.

Interview with Sabah head coach Valdas Dambrauskas before they face Man Utd. To Old Trafford from pub work & paper rounds in Muswell Hill, community sessions in Finsbury Pk, and the appearance on Lithuania's "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" that fuelled him https://t.co/9vdnflLMNq

[Karolinis @KarolisDudenas]

@Millar_Colin Never has anybody got that much attention in Lithuania for football. Valdas deserves everything.

[Karolinis @KarolisDudenas]

@rafajuc @georgeboxall22 @LukeEntwistle @VirageFootball Good luck! French football deserves more quality English coverage.

[Karolinis @KarolisDudenas]

@LaurensJulien @TheTotallyShow Fantastic to have You back! Will you join the European edition as well?

[Karolinis @KarolisDudenas]

@musketeer_vert @ASSEofficiel 1. Breum 100%. Solves that creative midfielder problem we had. Hoping he’s not fragile..
2. Difficult not to choose Pedro. I hope someone in the attack will break-though. El Jemali or Baallal.

[Karolinis @KarolisDudenas]

@musketeer_vert @ASSE_english @ASSEofficiel Totally agree. The club needs to up their game for non-French fans.

This is Valdas Dambrauskas in 2000, participating in Lithuanian edition of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’.

He was just a student that never played professional football.

The money he won allowed him to go to England and attend multiple coaching courses. He managed to gain early experience at clubs like Manchester United, Fulham and Brentford.

In 2007, he got a job at ninth-tier English side Kingsbury London Tigers and eventually led them to the best result in their history.

He got 12 different managerial jobs afterwards, mainly in Baltic countries. There was some impressive local success, but there were also heartbreaks on his path.

This year, he won domestic double with Azerbaijani side Sabah, despite Qarabag being firm favourites.

Today, he led Sabah to the league phase of the Champions League for the first time in their history. 🏆

[failed @unnamedbutalone]

When 🇱🇹 Dambrauskas joined 🇦🇿 Sabah last season, Qarabağ had won 11 of the previous 12 Azerbaijani league titles, while Sabah had only existed for eight years.

In his first season, he led Sabah to the Azerbaijani league title and the Azerbaijani Cup. The club then sold one of its best players, 🇫🇷 Malouda, to 🇨🇭 Basel, but Sabah have still reached the Champions League playoffs despite being unseeded from the very first qualifying round.

Dambrauskas averages 2.24 points per game across 51 matches with Sabah, and they have lost just once in the entire 2026 calendar year. His record at previous clubs is impressive too: 1.90 PPG with 🇨🇾 Omonia, 1.96 with 🇱🇻 RFS, 2.00 with 🇭🇷 Hajduk, 2.22 with 🇧🇬 Ludogorets and 2.33 with 🇱🇹 Žalgiris.

One of the most underrated managers in 🇪🇺 Europe.

And apparently he is a genius off the pitch too. He once won the Lithuanian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and took home a serious amount of money 💰

⚡️⚡️⚡️ Zelensky wrote an open letter to Putin

When you came to power in Russia more than 26 years ago, many in Ukraine had a positive attitude toward you. That was true. That is now in the past.

Today, the absolute majority of Ukrainians positively view the fact that our long-range drones “visited” the opening of your forum in St. Petersburg, covering a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers. As you well know, this distance is not the limit of our capabilities.

But now we all see that this is finally becoming unacceptable for Russians — that the war is bringing more and more negative consequences to Russia.

They do not like our drones and missiles.
They do not like fuel shortages and constant price increases.
They do not like ongoing bans.
They do not like your intention to launch a second wave of mobilization to expand the war to another direction in Ukraine or to direct it against other neighboring countries.
They do not like that your war has no end in sight.
Yes, you can still force Russians to live this way. But your resources are significantly shrinking.
You cannot fail to notice this. After 26 years, old age is starting to take its toll. The further it goes, the more fatigue will grow — including from you.
It’s not that we in Ukraine are worried about Russians — after everything your war has brought to Ukraine. But I care about Ukrainians.
We are losing our people, and every loss is painful. And even when Ukrainian losses are one to five or one to six compared to Russian losses, it still matters greatly.

Ukraine preserves its independence. And it will preserve it — despite any predictions.

We have brought the war onto your territory, and you would not have managed it without help from North Korea. You are the first Russian leader who has had to turn to Pyongyang for assistance.

And today you are completely dependent on China — also a first in Russian history.

The choice is yours now. Stop the war. Ukraine offers to end this war. I propose a meeting.

We believe Europe’s participation is necessary — those who are truly capable of influencing the situation. We believe the United States must be involved, and this could determine the configuration of a new security architecture in our part of the world.

The frontline is now the line from which diplomacy should begin.

Ukraine is ready for a “all for all” prisoner exchange, and this could become a good prologue to ending the war.

If you do not personally come to the idea that this war must end, Ukraine will continue to fight for its existence. We will have those who support us.

But you will also have to fight much more for your own existence — not Russia’s, but your personal one. And this is not a threat from me or Ukraine. These are facts of Russian history: when Russia grows tired, changes happen.

We can work toward that fatigue. You can stop your war.

Eternal memory to all whose lives were taken by this war.

Glory to Ukraine.

@Balticfootynews Another factor, Lithuania has about 1 million more inhabitants than Latvia and 1.5 million more inhabitants than Estonia.

[Karolinis @KarolisDudenas]

@Balticfootynews I would also like to see a comparison based on the % filled of stadium capacity. I believe that RFS would have more spectators, but are they limited by the size of the stadium? In Lithuania we have at least 3 stadiums with >5000 seats in the Toplyga

[Karolinis @KarolisDudenas]

End of an another disappointing season. It should have never came down to play-offs with the budget ASSE has. Wahi showed how poor Les Verts defenders are. Next season surely without Zuriko and Stassin will be much more difficult with Metz and Nantes. And I don’t trust Kilmer.

[AS Saint-Étienne @ASSEofficiel]

90e+9 : ⏹️ Les Verts s’inclinent au terme de ces barrages et devront batailler dans l’antichambre du football français la saison prochaine.

🦅 4-1 💚 #OGCNASSE
