@stevejones20 allen so so good at playing off those types of advantages - makes him the perfect guy on the floor next to those 3. play doesn't get stuck in the mud when defense doesn't concede the soft switch
@StayTrueSDot3 also grayson playing very well off the pacers not wanting to concede the hield switch - great reps of the suns not trying to force something (getting hield on beal/booker) and just trusting allen to play off the advantages the defense does concede
@StayTrueSDot3 way more tempo in the halfcourt these last two games - do you attribute that to Nurk, and now Beal, being back? or do you see it as the team simply making more of an effort to inject pace?
@StayTrueSDot3 Feel like this is what the Suns have been missing the last however many games - I still view this as halfcourt offense/maybe semi-transition, and there's just more tempo, better timing, less indecision flowing into things - so nice to see
@StayTrueSDot3 feel like the self-created tempo was there for a portion of time, but now feels like a lot of book + others taking up half the shot clock just to get into a set; makes the O stagnant sometimes
Drew Eubanks is my least favorite Suns player since Jamal Crawford. I know thatโs a weird sentence, but itโs the last time I can remember a player being as damaging when he played.
@StayTrueSDot3 Live-ball turnovers, 5-on-4s (off made baskets too *barf*), and obviously some shotmaking from the kings. Though I do think Eubanks has been pretty poor - feel like azubuike's positioning + discipline with not fouling has just been way better
I think if anyone asks me why Eubanks shouldn't be in the league, I'm just going to show them the first few minutes of this 3rd quarter; he is literally just running around like he's trying to get exercise
@StayTrueSDot3 I also wonder how much of the poor defense is schematic vs. bad technique at the POA, etc. At least to the naked eye just seems the Suns way underhelp relative to the rest of the league - guys just get to their spots and rip it unbothered
@StayTrueSDot3 Could definitely see that, but I feel like there were so many possessions there were lapses (Saben losing Fox off a made basket and letting him get downhill, there were multiple possessions where the switching was sloppy)
@StayTrueSDot3 honestly such a deflator, getting the easy ones to fall has such a secondary effect of being able to set your defense, build momentum, etc. Could feel a huge difference when azubuike just went up and finished the bunnies compared to eubanks' indecision
