@Silky1776 @radpeterman @JohnnyReno@EWagmeister@lookner As an employee, I don't have carte blanche to do foolish things. If I do something outrageously stupid and someone gets hurt, I can be held liable, even if I'm on the clock.
Actor's Equity agrees with me:

@Silky1776 @radpeterman @JohnnyReno@EWagmeister@lookner Fun fact: the D-Day extras in SPR were from the Irish Army, so I would expect them to know basic firearm safety. Set accidents don't often happen with machine guns with belt ammo; it's handguns
Where do I draw the line? Where a real firearm gets handed from 1 person to another.
@Silky1776 @radpeterman @JohnnyReno@EWagmeister@lookner I think any actor with a real gun in their hand should check for themselves. If they don't know how, ask someone who does to check in front of them.
Check the clip, the chamber, ask if the rounds are live or blanks. It doesn't have to take longer than 5-10 seconds.

@Silky1776 @radpeterman @JohnnyReno@EWagmeister@lookner I can see both sides of this. A set armorer should be present, competent, and have clear policies for handling guns. Having a pro makes everyone safer.
AND everyone is responsible for safety--opening the gun to check if it's loaded, with how many rounds.

@OHGODUSMELLTHAT @LucyLala80 @NdaBeatles @beetaylora You think that because of what you see on social media?
Have you ever heard of confirmation bias?
Of algorithms?

@OHGODUSMELLTHAT @LucyLala80 @NdaBeatles @beetaylora You keep saying that most women want a sole provider.
I'm asking you how you know that. Because I don't think it's true.
@Silky1776 @radpeterman @JohnnyReno@EWagmeister@lookner I think the DA was hoping that by involving his role as a producer of the movie, she could bring in other safety incidents (including gun safety), to claim the producers created/allowed an unsafe workplace.
He was definitely not following the 'Check it yourself' rule, for sure.
@OHGODUSMELLTHAT @LucyLala80 @NdaBeatles @beetaylora You've stated several times that 'most women want' a traditional relationship. Where are you getting that idea?
@quagmire_inc @JohnnyReno@EWagmeister@lookner The assistant director checked the gun, and handed it to Baldwin, telling him it was a cold gun.
They let that guy plead guilty to a lesser charge and he didn't go to jail.
@quagmire_inc @JohnnyReno@EWagmeister@lookner He was told it was a 'cold' gun. Firearm safety on that set was atrocious, even before the fatal incident.
@quagmire_inc @JohnnyReno@EWagmeister@lookner That's the whole point. It was the armorer's responsibility to ensure he was not handed a loaded weapon. She failed in that duty, and she is now in jail.
@OHGODUSMELLTHAT@NdaBeatles @beetaylora If a partner withholds sex for a long time, it's grounds for divorce. But couples have dry spells, too.
Telling your partner, "You owe me sex, you need to have sex with me," is fucked up.
Saying to your partner, "Sex is important to me, and we need to figure this out," is okay.
@OHGODUSMELLTHAT@NdaBeatles@europeanpoundz @beetaylora You're assuming a LOT when you claim that women want a 'traditional relationship'.
Do you think it's okay for a husband to demand sex from his wife? To force sex from his wife?
@OHGODUSMELLTHAT@NdaBeatles@europeanpoundz @beetaylora I agree that sex is important for most healthy marriages. That does not mean that a husband can have sex on demand from his wife.
Your argument assumes that men earn money and women don't, which is wrong. Women's value is not their beauty.
