Yesterday I got caught in the insect collection and almost forgot to pickup my kids. As Laura says "you walk into an insect collection and next thing you know you're half way through a masters, and then you're an entomologist!" #EntomologyEnthusiast#NotAnotherMasters

A few things to share...a group photo taken by Field Museum photographer John Weinstein AND ,created by the Field Museum's own Adrienne Stroup, the Tully Monster Cookie Cutter silhouette!!(https://t.co/1tlEOy3kMj)
One of my 4 year old's favorite books, "How the Dinosaur Got To the Museum" by Jessie Hartland, is about the @NMNH original diplodocus! So excited about the new Deep Time exhibit - we may have to make a trip to DC!
No other land animals have ever grown as big as long-necked sauropod dinosaurs. It took four people working full time almost two years to assemble @NMNHโs original Diplodocus specimen, which first went on display in 1931. Itโs 87 feet long! #DeepTime
To those who view going to conference as a vacation - yes, we have FUN, but we WORK SO MUCH! @SPNHC conferences feel like we pack a whole year into one week and it's a lot! Not to mention all the other life things going on. Get some rest, Mariana, you have earned it! #SPNHC2019
Exhaustion is a thing. A real thing. After writing and defending my dissertation while teaching two classes (among other service tasks), and then attending a conference and working all week at it, I am stuck in a hotel room while my family yours around.
Take care of yourselves
Can I just say how proud I am of my @SPNHCEPC co-chair? Last week at SPNHC she ROCKED all of our EP activities and then flew home on Thursday night for her doctoral hooding! Mariana, you are amazing and an inspiration to all of us! #SPNHC2019#RoleModel
Wow - Edinburgh hosts already set up for #SPNHC2020#NatHist2020 - great to get the conversation started with #SPNHC conversations occupying our thoughts. Hope to see many of you from #ADBC#TCN@iDigBio community.
Final day of #SPNHC2019@FieldMuseum - it has been AMAZING! So happy to be back at SPNHC! Working on the #NHCCN this week and with @SPNHCEPC I have so many wonderful ideas and new connections!
@davidcblackburn That's great! Collections courses have been a huge topic @SPNHC#SPNHC2019 this week and there are several here with courses. Working to formalize this into a digital resource that will be available soon!
