The State House Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU), in coordination with Kira Police, on Friday apprehended Godfrey Karingiri following a complaint by Mr. Ismail Ustun, a Turkish national, and Patrick Kavuma, Directors of Alif Foundation, an NGO.
The complaint alleges suspected fraud and obtaining money by false pretences after Godfrey Kagirigiri allegedly received a UGX 70 million deposit in December 2025 to supply cattle but neither delivered the cows nor refunded the money despite several demands.
The suspect has since been transported to Kira Police for further management and investigation.
Under the guidance of Col. @edthnaka, SHIPU remains committed to protecting investors by coordinating with relevant agencies to address investor complaints, promote accountability, and safeguard Uganda’s investment climate.
