Went fishing in a lake at a lake in my neighborhood today, caught a Largemouth Bass about 19 inches in length (pic below) with my trusty fishing rod and using a artifical crawfish bait.

Last time I caught a Largemouth Bass was over 10 years ago. 😆

on one side, a 90 kw electric kart. on the other, a kawakart h2 with a 210 ps kawasaki h2 compressor setup

these things look like they should be doing a few laps around a karting track, not launching themselves down a runway at over 200 km/h

the h2 managed 212.18 km/h with an 11.167 second run, while the electric kart came in at 207.69 km/h in 11.305 seconds

the fact that they’re this close is probably the craziest part. one is electric, the other is basically a kawasaki engine with four tiny wheels and absolutely nothing protecting the driver 😭

Researchers at MIT published a study that found EVs emit around 40-60% fewer lifecycle emissions than gas vehicles throughout the U.S.

The study also looked at some of the areas of the U.S. with the dirtiest mix of electricity (like natural gas and coal). Even in the worst areas, EVs still had the lead.

“Over 90% of people in the United States live in regions where driving the average EV produces lower emissions than the most efficient gasoline vehicle on the market today (59 miles per gallon),” the study said. Additionally, as the grid gets cleaner every year, so does owning an EV.
