Pasteuria penetrans is a beneficial bacterium that parasitizes plant-feeding nematodes, including the common turf-damaging lance nematode (Hoplolaimus galeatus), by attaching to them, infecting their bodies, and halting reproduction, making it a great natural biocontrol agent.
I’m very happy to be part of an exciting experiment evaluating a new eco-friendly fertilizer product, SMART 4 Growing, conducted through a collaboration between the University of Florida and the company.
