Time for the reminder for those in the back who might not have heard the first time @MisterMinor spoke. I’m listening. I’m learning. I will keep working toward real change. Thank you Mr. Minor for your positivity, heart and passion.
White people often stay quiet on racism because they feel it's not their place to speak up.
Just as sexism is not only a "women's issue," racism is not only a "black issue."
Now is not the time for silence. We all have a responsibility to raise our voices against injustice.
This is not just black people protesting. All races have had enough of the abuse of black lives. Things must change. Everyone of us needs to be the change for good. #BeTheChange#BLACK_LIVES_MATTER
I get that they don’t like looting as a form of protest, but they didn’t like peacefully taking a knee either. I mean, how exactly would you like marginalized people to protest the inequalities and racism in this country?
Not only are they taking care of their own families and dealing with all this, they are taking care of their students too. Teachers need praise, thanks, and appreciation. Love them like they love their students. #learnsharelead
Don’t let the words of another affect your happiness. No one has that power unless you give it to them. Gandhi said, “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet”... and neither should you.
Greatness isn’t achieved by worrying what everyone thinks of you. Don’t look outside. The praise, criticism, expectations; it’s all just noise. Look inside to your heart and soul and do your thing. Do it with love and create greatness from the inside out.
Pushovers prolong helplessness, failure, and mediocrity. But accountability with compassion fuels boldness, growth, and productivity.
You demonstrate respect for people when you hold them accountable.
Lack of compassion creates fear.

Not all kids are even liked at home. If a student has someone at home that adores them awesome, but you might be the only hope that child has to be loved! Let’s find the gold in every student! #goodkindofgolddigger#atleastonecaringadult#findthepositive
Let’s ALL be “that” teacher. There’s always something good about every student. It’s ok to identify weaknesses but start w/positives. The most needy kids will ask for love in the most inappropriate ways! #relationshipsmatter#RideForTheBrandWISD#RFL
I just finished my family phone calls saying “hi” to all of the new members of the Room 7 family.
One mom said, “Oh, we heard about you! You’re the teacher who doesn’t just call about the bad stuff.”
I’ll take that title!😊

“What adolescents need in school is teachers who not only care about them, but who care for them (Gay, 2018). They need teachers who enjoy their company, but who go well beyond that to ensure that they build foundations for strong, sturdy, contributing, and satisfying lives.”
