DAY 4 UNTIL CS: Launch Day 🚀

Ecom Uni was officially launched today and I was honestly so impressed. I was in ecomtalent before as some may know and the branding and effort put into Ecom uni is honestly… evolutionary for the education space.

I took the zone of genius quiz and got creative strategy! So now I’m trenching through @KatPrefontaine dense content. (There’s so much sauce for those who haven’t joined yet).

I went from a broke gaming addict to helping 61 Ecom brands hit their first $100k/day.

But growing up I was average at everything.

My dad gave me 3 months to make it work, or I needed to get a loan to go to a traditional university. Really didn't want that.

So I learned FB ads from a course. Spent a few weeks spamming Upwork proposals, cold DMing people, even applying for VA jobs.

Landed a media buying job at $4-5k/mth. I was making $400/mth selling vacuums for Dyson before that.

10x'd my income at 18. Big money for a kid from Malaysia.

A year later I teamed up with Spencer. We thought we were hot sh*t. Our first client was spending a few thousand a day. Threw every strategy I had at it.

They fired us within weeks. My salary went from $4-5k a month down to $1-2k.

Took me 2 more years to figure out what I was missing.

My thing wasn't the media buying. It was creative strategy. Knowing what makes an ad actually sell.

Then that same client came back.

This time I edited one video for them. It became a winning ad and we finally scaled them.

That's when I found my Zone of Genius.

The kid who was average at school, sports, everything finally found the one thing he was actually good at.

Since then that one skill has helped 61 brands hit their first $100k/day. We even scaled a brand to $800k/day on Black Friday.

If I'd never found it, I'd have burned years and a lot more money on a skill I wasn't built for.

for almost a year now, I've took part in shaping the universe that is Ecom University.

this is a bit of announcement post as well, since I did join the agency around this time, and pretty much dropped every client in order to go all-in here.

This is like the 50th creative strategist job post I've seen on X in the past 3 days.

The demand is insane.

And no one talks about how simple it is to transition from video editor > creative strategist

You're sitting there editing reels for $30 a video while brands are begging for people who understand how to make winning ads.

As an editor you can make easily $10k/month once you learn how brands operate from the inside and how to build winning ads, not just pretty ones.

And when you eventually want to start your own ecom brand, you've got capital saved, the skills to make your own ads, and you already know what makes people buy.

You'll have an insane headstart over any other beginner in ecom.
