To learn to think scientifically (and to be scientific), to lead people with respect, to apply and sustain practices that leads to psychological and product flow, one must read. Read to gather the dots, and then write to connect them. Writing is the most profound way to learn.

I posit that the hardest part of the Improvement Kata is the study of the initial current condition especially when no process measurements ever existed. It is akin to an airplane taking off with all its shuddering and difficultly in facing resistance to get lift off.
The operating pattern is the secret sauce within the Improvement Kata. How are you operating today, versus how you should operate in a few weeks time. And does this make sense towards the challenge?
To practice requires humility but it surely isn't a sign of weakness. Many successful people are famously disciplined about practice.

How are you practicing your coaching skills? Final enrollment for the 2021 Kata Dojo Masterclass starts Monday https://t.co/aRS0eX96EH
Why "target condition" instead of "target"? Outcome targets eg. 'weigh 160 pounds' can't be achieved directly. Work on the operating attributes – the conditions – that generate the outcome. Specify a desired outcome AND the operating pattern you predict will generate the outcome.
Use the Improvement Kata to take small experimental steps with a scientific mindset to solving problems along the way. And make sure that ladder leans on a well defined challenge! #improvement#scientific#kata
