@AlishaRai@ZoeYorkWrites @Mortimerwrites As an accountant and a new treasurer, I want to change this. I didn't realize it until today. I think it's bull. Thank you and Zoe for calling it to my attention.
@mel_thegreat I understand. But you also have to understand: I live in a town where there are literally (based on census data) 12 non-white people within a four-town radius. 6 are black, 3 are Asian. I haven't met the other 3. The only black dad I know is a great guy. This is my scope.
@authorMsBev@mel_thegreat I agree. But I think dads in general don't get enough respect, no matter their skin tone. My nephew had to fight for years to get custody of his daughter even though she was in a really awful situation with her mother. Like, strangers shooting drugs in the home's bathroom bad.
@authorMsBev I agree! I had a roommate who called me to pick her up at the airport and my car was in the shop. She'd left her keys. I was a little surprised I'd have to drive a stick. But I made it, even in six inches of Minneapolis snow.
@authorMsBev@nadineewatson I learned to drive a stick because I was in college and a stick was cheaper than an automatic and you never know who's gonna end up the designated driver.
