You did it!!!! We're done with all of June's fundraisers--and there are still two days left in the month! There aren't enough words for thank you to express the gratitude all of us here have for the incredible steadfast support you give us. I really do know how fortunate we are to have your loyalty and dedication to helping us help the animals here. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You blow me away.
We will get July's fundraisers posted to our link section shortly and see if we can get a tiny bit of a head start. I really can't come up with enough words for relief and gratitude. Just know that we are full to the brim with both, and it's because of you.
Have you voted for KSAR today? A vote for KSAR is a vote for kittens!!!
Julia's brood of kittens and adopted orphans are growing fast and she's amazingly patient with their antics. Raising newborns is an incredible amount of work, for mama Julia and also for the staff. Please consider giving us a coffee so we can finish off the last fundraisers of the month. The end is in sight!

Our fundraisers have stalled and we're so close to the finish line. We need your help to keep the momentum.
Myself and a couple of the admin team have been horrendously sick the past few days, some sort of food poisoning from hell, and I'm at dead-leaf level energy at the moment. We are all trying to work through it, whether that's arranging complex medical care, repairing water damage in a roof, or in my case trying to convey to you the combination of gratitude for what you've helped us get through this week, and begging you to please help us just finish the last bit of this race. We're exhausted.

🐶 ❤️ 📕
We found Lego last year protecting two small puppies that had been thrown in a hole in an alley on the outskirts of town. It's rare to find male dogs so protective of puppies, especially with the abuse he had so obviously suffered, but he kept Hashy and Arturo safe until our staff arrived and continued to keep a watchful eye over them. All of them survived and are healthy, and that takes a lot.
Bringing animals back from the brink, which is how most of ours arrive, takes skilled veterinary care, it takes medicine, medical supplies, clean recovery space, food--and it often takes months to get them to a level of baseline health. Giving them a thriving life takes even more. But this is the only one they get. We're doing everything we can to give them a fighting chance and we can't do it without you.
❤️ Louise is home! ❤️
📕 Louise’s story: Louise was rescued with her sister Thelma after being dumped in a sewage area in Kabul 🇦🇫. She joined Julian, Jones and Audrey in a ✈️ to the 🇺🇸 in late fall 2024. Louise was adopted a few months later but then was returned due to no fault of her own. Our rescue partner, TTDR sent Louise to training and then she was moved to her foster Kim in IL.
And now, she has her furever 🏡 with her furever pawrents!
Thanks to Traveling Tails Dog Rescue, her foster mom Kim and to her new parents for making this all happen. It takes a village - from Louise’s recuse in Kabul, to all of you who helped us with her journey to the 🇺🇸 to TTDR for believing that Louise deserves her own happily ever after and making it a reality!
Happy, happy life Louise - we all love you!

❤️ Guess who now has dog friends? Our beautiful girl, Ani, found at the very end of 2025 with severe cutaneous leishmaniasis, bacterial infections, parasite infestations, and underwent a front leg amputation, is now healing and loved, by both humans and dogs alike. ❤️
Ani is another KSAR miracle! And she’s your miracle, too!
KSAR do amazing work - they stretch resources as much as they can.
Please like, share, repost this wonderful fundraiser - donate if you're able!
They're worth it and so much more!

🪄 The magic of KSAR! 🪄
Cecil came to KSAR in May 2025. He was a skinny little thing with mange, who also survived parvovirus. Take a look at the before and after! He’s gorgeous and healthy and thriving! ❤️

🐱 This month we put up a fundraiser specifically for kitty litter, the first time in ages. Among the supplies that have gone up in price the past months is kitty litter, and that's really a non-negotiable one here. Keeping these growing babies healthy involves keeping them clean!
