@Posbl @bigsnugga We did (1642 -1651). Executed out King, Charles 1st and for 11 years were governed by Parliament, under Puritan leader Oliver Cromwell. We restored the Monarchy, 1660 after Cromwell died. Cancelling Christmas, dancing and fun didn't go down well.

@schoolconcert @DrProudman And that UNDERMINES credibility? 🤔 Any axe to grind is irrelevant if the crimes aren't there to find. They wouldn't have dared air it without unequivocal evidence as the burden of proof in deformation is on the media, not the claimant. And RB is litigious with v.good lawyers.

I struggle to believe that objections around timing are in good faith....that anyone can't imagine that the fullness of time brings reflection, distance, and courage. And reduces fear of the powerful person's influence over the victim's future.

@JonKula @simonateba Evidently it's the best solution available to these women at the moment. Let's see the better solutions put in place first before we express disapproval at the route they chose.

If anything the fact that this is the route they chose is an indictment of the system, our culture and society and not of these women or the media orgs that have supported them
