Update: "Raccoons" was moved to agenda item #1. There have been sightings. A colleague saw a little raccoon claw poke down through the ceiling while they were in the bathroom. Stuff of nightmares.

Campus Tech Support emailed to say they are removing wireless slide advancers from classrooms bc they are "untenable from a support perspective" and told us to buy our own. It's a minor inconvenience, and will be a minor cost, but it kind of enrages me.

The Garbage Project is my fav Intro Archaeology class project. Students record all garbage they throw away for 10 days. I anonymize & redistribute the responses. Then students quantify/classify the data they got & use it to write a paper. These papers are always great/hilarious
