A magical performance by The Farmers Choir at Perth Theatre and Concert Hall has raised a brilliant £46,000 for RSABI and @ScotAirAmb.
Compered (wonderfully!) by @standupfarmer Jim Smith, and kindly sponsored by leading livestock auctioneers, @unitedauctions, the 85-strong choir received a well-deserved standing ovation after performing 18 beautiful songs and we are giving them another one today!
The sum will be split equally between the two charities and takes the total raised for charity by The Farmers’ Choir - celebrating its 10th anniversary this year – to over £170,000. Well done and thanks to everyone involved, including programme sponsor ABP, song sponsors, attendees and The Royal George Hotel, Perth ❤️ #KeepTalking #kindness

Our wee working group who beavered away behind the scenes to bring The Farmers Choir Concert (with @standupfarmer Jim Smith) to life are pictured at a wash-up meeting yesterday. Many thanks to our Trustees Sandy Hay and Lois Newton (missing from pic) and past-chair David Leggat, and special thanks to Perthshire farmer David Mitchell who first had the idea to hold a concert in aid of RSABI and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance - SCAA and has really worked his socks off on the project. Also pictured are our CEO Carol McLaren, our Head of Fundraising Pauline Macmillan and Fundraising Executive, Margo Wills.
