It comes down to progressing (as a league) and doing better (as fans) to demonstrate that safety (of the players) takes priority over entertainment value (of a game).

I do believe that medical marijuana can help offset the opioid epidemic. Many studies have shown this. But John Boehner is in it for the money, not the altruism. Otherwise he would work to free the thousands of non-violent people he threw into for-profit prisons.
