Don’t ever be embarrassed about your life. We all go through things that shake us, humble us, or force us to start over. Moving back home, losing your job, getting your heart broken, going through a divorce, hitting a low mentally… it’s all a part of being human.
Nobody warned me that working a 9–5 basically means never being able to see a doctor, go to the dentist, or handle any appointments because they’re open while you’re at work and closed by the time you get off.
This word is the only reason I kinda understand when black Americans talk about Africans not understanding their struggle.
Cause if you call me the N word, it really does nothing to me. Like sure I know it’s a bad word & you shouldn’t say it, but it evokes zero emotion from me cause I have no trauma, memory or feelings attached to the word. Might as well call me an idiot.
I sit quietly and realize that God has been taking care of me this whole time. Maybe not in luxurious ways. Maybe not an easy life. But through protection,provision, good health, surviving hard days and always having just enough to keep going.
