@raketenziesel @mrlynx1979 @golub Even as a citizen living abroad, I often get pulled aside for extra security checks when traveling to US. Also can’t check into flights online, etc. because I’ve booked a round trip from abroad with US passport. Really dreading going to see my Dad in a few weeks.

@smit12923 @mrlynx1979 @golub I was in Italy in Feb & the accommodation needed our passport info to report to government ir they get fined. Essentially the accommodation is responsible for reporting tourists’ movements to the government, which makes sense to keep track of those entering the country.
