Being a lawyer is having a job where at the end of the week you say “oh, it’s been quite a week”, every week. Even the good weeks were “quite a week”. There are no other types of weeks.
Student called me in tears (happy) because she passed the Georgia exam. I'm pretty negative about the bar exam (it's my brand at this point) and for good reason. But that moment of finding out you passed the bar exam is one that most, if not all, lawyers never forget.
You do not have to be an asshole to practice law. Sometimes the adversarial nature of litigation will require you to stand firm in order to zealously advocate for your clients but you can treat colleagues/opposing counsel with respect & be an excellent advocate for your clients.
@denmannotdenim That’s all mine says too. But I have an application status update from June under eligibility reports that says I have met all of the requirements and just need to pass the bar, and I double checked with the processor back in August too.
@denmannotdenim What does your main screen say? Because I thought mine wasn’t approved and then I messaged the processor, who informed me I was good to go. 🤷🏻♀️

Thinking of all the Mizzou Law graduates today. You’ve each accomplished something so great with fighting through to the end and earning your J.D. - and this is just the beginning.
Congratulations Class of 2022!
Congratulations to @FOBowman3 for an amazing career of teaching and scholarship! Prof. Bowman is retiring from @MizzouLaw this spring and students, faculty and staff “clapped him out” of his final class.
