Something that stuck with me from years ago- a Samoan nursing student had been asked to stay after her shift to interpret for an elderly man. Not only totally inappropriate, he was Tongan! Lets address this & #pacificpaygap to nurture & encourage our Pasifika workforce as taonga

I don’t usually tell people I’m a doctor outside of work, but found myself needing to use my title to arm and protect myself against discrimination trying to get an OTC medicine today. My heart breaks for my ethnic minority sisters who also go through this, who have to use (1/2)
