@amadeogroomer This doesn't make sense, loustat have been coprotagonists since the beginning, can't imagine any "engaged fan" not knowing this, even a lot of casual fans know Lestat is the protagonist of the books

The way I feel Lestat is a aspirational character in a lot of ways like I get what Anne was saying in interviews
Also fun because his pov is really challenging to write, 80% of what ive done the past months has been on Armand's mind

I've made my peace with the rapid fire and a bit comedic way the scenes go because it makes a lot of sense for things to be fragmented as Lestat is still running from the ghosts so he wouldn't linger on things (even if I really like them :(()

So I like that they call attention to the music being the story (and I love this song fuck) because we are kinda living the in universe Lestat fans experience of listening to the songs trying to piece it out before the book (or doc in the show) comes out.

I think its very true to Lestat to be very sparce about his trauma so I love how he transforms what is a very horrific part of his life in a music video sequence
In tvl music is how he tells his story and we are seeing that in full

It doesn't feel so much as revenge for me as cutting the umbilical cord
And while book Lestat would never want this, he is impulsive and was also wrapped up in the feel of it all so I can see his show version going along and THEN being hauted by this first big evil as a baby vamp

It being her first night as a vampire kinda explains the urge to kill them for me. Like cutting off the last remnants of the life she hated represented in people that belittled and hurt her in a way that works visually to never be thought off again during this euforia moment 🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️
