"Am I too old to learn the fiddle?"
Absolutely not.
Whether you’re starting in your teens, 40s, 60s, or beyond, learning the fiddle doesn’t come with an age limit. It’s all about the joy of playing and taking things one step at a time.

Last call for anyone who wants to join my next online fiddle workshop!

Just because something works for someone else doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you.
There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to learning the fiddle—or anything else, really.
Find your own way, adapt, and keep going!

The other day, I sat down to practice and just felt…off.
I changed course & played something else for a bit. When I came back to the original piece later, things clicked in a whole new way.
It was a good reminder that it’s okay to adapt in the moment.

This tune is called Spring Peepers—inspired by those tiny frogs that sing their hearts out every spring. 🎻💚
It’s one of my favourite sounds—and this tune is my little tribute to them.

Happy Beltane!
Here’s to sunshine, new beginnings, and maybe a few tunes to welcome the season. 🌞🎻
This is a tune called Beltane Time, also known as Tramps and Hawkers waltz.
To all the shy fiddlers: your music is a gift. Don’t worry about perfection—let your heart guide the bow.
One tune at a time, you’ll find your voice. Keep playing, you've got this!

Did you know the fiddle helped shape a whole bunch of American music? It came over with European settlers and settled right in—eventually becoming the heartbeat of styles like bluegrass, country, and western.

Here's a knee slapper for you to send you into the weekend with a laugh: Why did the fiddle break up with the bow?
Because it just couldn’t *string* it along anymore! 🎻😆

Back in the 18th and 19th centuries, fiddling was seen as music of the folks—played at barn dances, kitchen parties, and all sorts of community gatherings.
Over time, it grew into a respected art form!

The magic of the fiddle is in every note—it fills the air and carries a piece of your heart. Keep playing, keep feeling, and let the music guide you.

🎻 The best music often comes from the simplest moments. It’s not about perfection—it’s about connection. Grab your fiddle, play with your heart, and let the music speak. 🎶💫 #FiddleLife#MusicConnection#PlayFromTheHeart#FolkVibes
We’ve all felt those nerves before performing, but the key is to embrace them. Instead of letting fear take over, think of those jitters as energy to fuel your passion.
Take a deep breath and remember—perfect doesn’t matter.
#FiddleLife#StageFright#MusicJourney
Fiddling is about sharing stories, not just notes. Every tune tells a tale and every bow stroke holds a memory. Keep playing, keep feeling the music, and remember—it’s all about the journey, not the destination.
