Look, I can’t be more grateful for Taylor. As an international fan she made me feel at home at the Sessions, invited me knowing I’m from Uruguay and was incredible to me when I talked to her about LatAm. But this situation needs to change. The team should strive for inclusion.
I’m extremely grateful that she notices fans from all over the world, and that for Lover she decided to tour Brazil. That’s amazing. But more things need to be done to make international fans feel like they’re part of the fandom as well.
For those saying “it’s not her fault”, maybe it’s not hers directly, but we need to kindly let her know that the whole system should change for the better, that there are a lot of people who actively want to participate and are constantly singled out of every action.
There are so many things to be done worldwide, so many ideas, from international Sessions in rented houses to giving free shipping for international orders for more than $75, or letting international fans buy signed albums as well, adding concert dates in each continent...
There are so many ideas! We as international fans have come up with so many through all these years of waiting, hoping, wishing... it’d be amazing if we were finally listened to! Let’s make our voices heard and see if we can change this once and for all.
I *know* Taylor KNOWS and she reads us and knows what we want, because she told me so herself, but I think we need to get past the point of knowing, and start doing more. The Brazil show is the first step. Now we can take the next one.
