JULIAN ASSANGE: ‘I want to be totally clear, I am not free today because the system worked. I am free today after years of incarceration because I plead guilty to journalism.’
An experienced American prosecutor just stood up in a courtroom in 2026, during a triple-homicide trial, and suggested in her closing argument that a mentally ill woman should have attempted suicide a different way.
Our government has become disturbingly comfortable using its power this way. Our healthcare system is broken. Our institutions are failing catastrophically.
Cora, Dawson, and Callan should all be alive.
Lindsay should not be sitting in this courtroom. She should be mentally well, after receiving adequate treatment, and living with her family. Instead of confronting the systemic failures that helped create the circumstances of their deaths, the government stood before a jury and criticized how Lindsay tried to kill herself.
We should all be outraged.
sinceramente, odio que hayamos normalizado la idea de que todas las opiniones son válidas. Creo que deberíamos volver a decirle a la gente que está mal informada y es ignorante.
The #GospelOfToday (Mt 14:22-33) teaches us the importance of not getting carried away by success and of never being presumptuous. At the same time, it teaches us not to despair, even in moments of darkness, when we feel powerless in the face of problems.
The problem isn’t that our Constitution is lacking; the problem is that the people chosen to uphold it are lacking.
These are desperate times, but a Convention to modify the Constitution is a desperate measure that absolves those responsible for our decline.
The newly released UFO videos do not lower people health insurance premiums, does not stop Social Security and Medicare from going bankrupt in 2032, does not lower inflation or gas, does not help people afford to buy a home, or does not end the Iran war that Americans did not sign up for.
Nobody cares.
I Asked Candace What the Single Most Disturbing Thing She Believes Is Real
“Everyone knew what Epstein was doing, and then he was protected. They knew that he went to prison. I think about this all the time. It’s a system, and that’s not imagined. If the Epstein thing didn’t wake you up to the fact that it’s left and right, you’re still asleep.”
