This Memorial Day we are thanking God for everyone who gave their life to serve our country. We also thank Him for all who are currently serving, who have served and for their families.
Our nephew, Wyatt shared this image of his grandparents tombstone, my precious father in law, Lieutenant Commander Phil G. Olsen, Naval Aviator and precious mother in law, Barbara Jean Olsen.
This day reminds us to never take our freedom for granted.

Priceless necklace! Despite the passion, hours and sweat equity that went into to making this piece of jewelry at 8 years old, it never sold because I charged too much! That was a powerful lesson! While unpacking boxes of treasures, I just now found this necklace that taught so much about understanding and meeting the needs of my customer.

Our mom is a testimony to the power of a praying mom! No matter how grown we are, she never stops praying for her children, and her children’s children and their children. We have all experienced miracles through Mom’s prayers. In some cases the results are instant, yet most are beautifully realized over time. Mom never gives up. She keeps her eyes on the Lord. She sets her alarm at noon each day to specifically pray for her family.
My beautiful sisters, Mary and Cynthia and I are blessed beyond measure by our mom.

To all the moms out there, your prayers are powerful! Happy Mother’s Day!

A beautiful trip down memory lane! The first photo is the childhood home of my mom in Highland Park, California. 9 kids and so many adventures! Our daughters Lily and Chloe planned this special day for their Grammy. We didn’t know the childhood home had recently been demolished, but the front porch and frame were still intact. We visited the church where my parents were married, the schools they attended and homes of their early marriage including the first homes I lived in! Mom’s stories vibrantly came to life as she shared in the places they took place.
A meaningful and very fun day!💖

I won’t be “dog”matic about this, but I do believe animals go to heaven! Though Scripture doesn’t explicitly say, there are verses in Isaiah, Revelation and Genesis including the fact that of all creation, only humans and animals have the breath of life!
