@PeterStefanovi2 @RachelReevesMP @Keir_Starmer I have a suggestion for the government- British Airways used to operate a loan repayment scheme for their pilots- pilots invest around £100k in flying costs to get their licenses which they take out a loan to cover. When they start work, they get £7k per year paid off their loan

@dr_tomparrott Just something to keep in mind - years worked in New Zealand will count towards your 35 qualifying years for full uk state pension- but there is no longer a reciprocal agreement with Australia. Something to think about if you are planning to return to UK.

@Urodoc46 @ShaunLintern Tom, I agree. The practicalities of short term rotational training for both the hospital and doctor are expensive. I have experience of both sides, our daughter is a junior/resident doctor and in my day job at a hospital I looked after part of the induction program.

I have been trying to make a GP appointment- the surgery has implemented Accurx. I am totally feedup with systems that ask family history questions but only allow yes/no answers . I’m adopted- I don’t have family history- how do I answer the question ?

@BrennanSurgeon I think you need to look at specific stressors: here is one- F2 rostered on 4 x 12.5 hour night/weekends as SHO , told to cover 3 specialties (2 they have never worked in, peads & ent), little to no senior support. They asked for training- where told to work extra shift TIL

@thegradmedic I would advise to think carefully about how far you move from your support network of family and friends- if you don’t know anyone going to the same location it can feel very isolating- when you really need your support network it’s tough to be remote - same days just need a hug

@SeriousReaders Hi Josh, I received a phone call saying that the order would be cancelled and I would receive an email to confirm- I haven’t received any email so I don’t know if the order is cancelled or not.
