[Kathy M. Lovelace @KathyMLovelace]

Tho we've had no rain for a few days river not receding quickly b/c the aquifer is full. Rainfall this year is 18” above normal.

We have some of the best fishing conditions in memory in July. Plenty of flow & water relatively cool.

[Kathy M. Lovelace @KathyMLovelace]

Fishing for brookies is common in the Summer b/c they live in higher streams where the water is cooler. Cooler temps for fishermaen also.

[Kathy M. Lovelace @KathyMLovelace]

Fly fishing conditions in Little River watershed R perfect. That might be the case in most of the Smokies streams. Dry flies R working well

All the recent rains in E TN have made for lush growth of foliage. Haven't had to turn on the sprinkler but once this summer.

[Kathy M. Lovelace @KathyMLovelace]

Water levels in E TN streams have dropped & are more fly fisherman friendly. Fishing is good & trout are taking dry flies or nymphs, or both

[Kathy M. Lovelace @KathyMLovelace]

This weekend is going to be nice and cool compared to last year. But be careful if you wade - currents are still strng

[Kathy M. Lovelace @KathyMLovelace]

Wow! 4 days in a row of sunshhine in E TN! AMAZING and wonderful. Fishing conditions are improving.

[Kathy M. Lovelace @KathyMLovelace]
