You shouldn’t have to pay an extra $50 to sit next to your child on the plane, pay a surprise “resort fee” for a hotel stay, pay $200 to terminate your cable plan, or pay huge service fees to buy concert tickets.
It’s time for Congress to pass the Junk Fee Prevention Act.
There is no earthly excuse for this: “Over the last two decades, more school-age children have died from guns than on-duty police officers and active-duty military — combined,” Biden said.
Amazon has my returned package and my money
@Amazonhelp how do I straighten this out? UPS tracking shows that my returned package was received by Amazon on October 26, but Amazon won't refund my money.
@AmazonHelp Hi Reid. The package was returned to Amazon on Oct 19 and received Oct. 29. Amazon gave me a refund Oct 19, but tonight I received an email from Amazon that the refund was being taken back because the package wasn't received. But UPS tracking shows it was clearly was received.
Someone once told me that I couldn’t make a difference because I was “just a mom in tennis shoes.”
I got mad, and then I got to work—because no one was going to tell me what I could and couldn’t do.
Happy National Tennis Shoe Day! 👟

Their responses: Affordable housing, vocational programs, cheaper college classes, grief counseling, drug prevention programs, daycare vouchers and more. https://t.co/1kpCTf7uE0

Jeff Bezos is the second-richest person in the world. His net worth is nearly $195 billion dollars. But his salary is about the same as the average public school teacher in Massachusetts: $80,000. Taxing income alone won’t make him pay his fair share. It’s time for a #WealthTax.
I had the profound honor of serving as a graduate school teaching assistant for Shirley Williams' course while at @Kennedy_School. Her personal grace, political stories and professional wisdom was absolutely amazing. May her memory be a blessing.
Aww, I just heard that Beverly Cleary died. Her books were such a presence in my childhood, and the reason I fell in love with reading and the library at a very young age. Well done Beverly Cleary. https://t.co/RVLJsMztJ5
I’m fighting for a $15 minimum wage—not anything less. We can’t compromise when 32 million workers have had stagnant, starvation wages for over a decade.
