One key misconception in Metacognition is that if students are metacognitively strong in one subject, they will be in another. However, Metacognition is inherently linked to cognition, and therefore Metacognitive abilities vary across cognitive tasks (i.e. across subjects)
@michellehacksed Agreed! We need to acknowledge that every student has many strengths and areas ripe for growth. We need to help our students develop lifelong learning skills by celebrating the strengths and building upon them.
We need leaders who prioritize education. That includes a new Secretary of Education who actually cares about students and who has public school experience.
@MrsChapman2nd @RLESoars I miss you too!! I am so excited to see all of the phenomenal experiences you are developing for your kiddos! Let’s catch up soon.
