I just had a very disturbing and unpatriotic encounter with an employee at Hardee’s who is anti-AC and likely a Marxist. After ordering my afternoon iced coffee and bacon burger, I asked him to turn the thermostat down to 58 degrees because it’s hot out and I was wearing my letter jacket

“Sir I can’t do that,” he said. “Corporate policy is that it must stay at 71 degrees during summer hours.”

“Junior,” I replied. “If I wanted to live under communist rule and die of a heat stroke, I’d move to New York with Mayor Zohan. But this isn’t New York. It’s America, so get your ass back there and turn down the air now.”

“Sir, the thermostat is locked and I don’t have the key. I’m just a summer employee until high school starts back in August.”

“Fine. If you can’t supply me with a comfortable environment to eat, then I cant supply you with money.”

I snatched my food and coffee from him and strode out of there without paying
