Collaborating to Save Animals. Geography students used WIN time to research ways to help save endangered animals. They came in before school and made a live presentation to 3 elementary classes about what kids can do to help.
BCMS students are participating in Prime Time Olympics this week. Here are some highlights from one of today's events, Down the Tubes. Students had to work together to construct a tube to send a ping pong ball from one end of the tube and back again without the ball falling off.

Sixth grade North Star social studies students compared and contrasted Ojibwe wigwams and birchbark canoes to Dakota tipis and log canoes by creating 3D representations of each.

You don’t have to be perfect to be a leader. There are no perfect leaders. In fact one of the key attributes of great leaders is that they overcome their flaws and challenges to make a positive impact on others.
You can’t discipline trauma. So true. A student returning to you from break may very well have experienced some type of trauma. Pay attention to emotions, behaviors and interactions.
We are headed into October. Let’s continue to bring the same energy we had in August. Let’s lift each other up as we continue to make great things happen for our kids! #WGEDD
