Yes, Jesus turned the other cheek, but He also overturned the tables. Yes, Jesus offers love and forgiveness, but He’s also just and coming to judge. Yes, He is coming soon, but few will receive His reward while many receive His wrath. Yes, He is still good, and He is still God.
christians: please remember that you’re the only glimpse of Jesus some people will ever see. don’t ruin it for them by speaking words that He wouldn’t.
make sure your words are life bringing, fruit producing, and Christ-like. don’t be the reason someone doesn’t want to know Him.
Noah waited on God to stop the rain.
Sarah waited on God to bless her with a child.
Joseph waited on God to fulfill His promise.
Ruth waited on God for her Boaz.
So if you’re in a season of waiting...don’t give up! God will NEVER waste the wait.
Galatians 6:9
I hope you know that he didn’t die for the beautiful dressed up you that sits in church and reads the Bible everyday. He died for the you that cries at night & wakes up late for church & makes unforgivable mistakes & goes weeks without thanking him. Don’t forget that.
His friend abandoned Him, His mother cried, the crowd mocked Him, and He was nailed to a tree. It was ugly. It was bloody. It was painful.
But it was love.
And the story was not over... Heaven began counting to three.
His suffering is still relevant. His death is still relevant. His resurrection is still relevant. His victory is still relevant. His Promises are still relevant. your sin doesn’t hold you anymore, no matter how corrupted this world gets.
