I'm running the London Marathon for @TheStrokeAssoc in 2026!
This year, around 7,000 people in Wales will wake up to the devastation of stroke. I'm aiming to raise more than £2,500 in sponsorship, so any amount would be much appreciated.

Proud to work for @TheStrokeAssoc@StrokeWales this #StrokePreventionDay. We're encouraging everyone to have their blood pressure regularly checked – so we can stop stroke before it happens. Find out more at https://t.co/Df69GIBRSg
Another excellent Cross Party Group on Stroke with my friends from @TheStrokeAssoc. This meeting focused on prevention and awareness and we heard a moving story from a stroke survivor and his stepson's quick actions to get help.

Inspiring to hear from stroke survivor Damian about the lifestyle behaviours that led to his stroke at today’s Cross-Party Group on Stroke - and the changes he’s made since. @DrAhmadStrokeUK also presented on the benefits of preventing strokes; to patients and reducing NHS costs.

1 in 3 stroke survivors will feel like a burden to their loved ones this Christmas but it’s #StillChristmas.
Watch and share this film to help more survivors and their families find support. Give the gift of stroke support this Christmas.
Every day, 240 people will wake up to the life-changing impact of a stroke. This #WorldStrokeDay, help raise awareness of the impact of stroke so that @TheStrokeAssoc@StrokeWales can help more people find strength through support. https://t.co/SJUSyHO59W
Incredible 2 days at the Welsh Stroke Leadership meeting. Huge potential to improve stroke care in Wales. Having a shared mission and purpose is so powerful. Thank you to our lived experience stroke voices - Matt and Nia for being our North Star ⭐ @StrokeWales@TheStrokeAssoc
Day 2 of the Stroke Leadership residential 💜
Prof Deb Lowe, Stroke Association Medical Director, shared powerful insights on improving stroke services in Wales. Her key message: “Don’t wait for permission to improve stroke care!” 💬
What a great first day at our Wales Stroke Leadership residential in Cardiff! 💜

🚑 I'm proudly Stroke CPG Chair. Wales's orange category changes are an improvement in helping stroke sufferers. However every second can count, stroke still needs more attention with progress painfully still slow, Wales needs national (regular) Act FAST public health campaigns!
I can't tell you how excited i am about this role - @TheStrokeAssoc is genuinely looking at doing things differently to better support our incredible stroke research community. This role will be pivotal in delivering this. The timeline to close is drawing near!
So,this happened today. Dr Nia Williams, legend the was instrumental in putting me back on my feet, invited me to speak at the National Stroke Association conference, Cardiff. Thanks to everyone around me, especially @GemmaOwen83,who helped me get to this stage ❤️#forevergrateful
