25 years ago today, the triumphant series finale of Star Trek: Voyager aired ✨
Despite being a science fiction series finale, "Endgame" resonates as a human story and a family story ✨
To The Journey!
Today the Church celebrates the great Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the Real Presence of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
Since today is the Feast of Corpus Christi I wanted to do a reel exploring some Catholic Connections in the Star Trek universe. From compassion to meditation to believing in something greater than ourselves, the franchise has always had some kind of spiritual root 🙏🏻🖖🏻
Particularly with the character of Captain Janeway, I have always found her to be an example of the Corporal Works of Mercy:
To feed the hungry
To give drink to the thirsty
To clothe the naked
To shelter the needy
To visit the sick
To visit the imprisoned
To bury the dead
I really like the pacing of season 1 thus far. I feel the characters are given good growth each episode and we really get a backstory to their cultural differences and development, especially with T’Pol, the Vulcans and the Andorians.
#StarTrekENT “Shadows of P'Jem” was a good episode exploring the relationship between Archer and T’Pol. Her character is growing on me and I did like the Houdini line (it was so Seven).
Great to see Shran again - a man of honor he returned the favor to save the captain.
Archer: Houdini could get out of this.
T’Pol: Perhaps you should invite him on your next mission.
THAT IS THE MOST SEVEN OF NINE RESPONSE I HAVE EVER HEARD

She trailblazed the Charleston and upon her retirement adopted children from several backgrounds dubbing it the “Rainbow Tribe”. For her acts of bravery as a spy during WWII, Josephine received the highest honor in France - the Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur.
Happy Heavenly Birthday to the one and only Josephine Baker. Actress, dancer, singer, civil rights activist and French Reistance Fighter. She was a champion ahead of her time and one of the most beautiful stars to have ever lived —
What a disrespecttul disgrace to the people of this country and our White House. I said *our* because the White House is the people's house - not metal cage to watch steroid-induced anger-filled men beat eachother to a pulp.
President Trump is floating the possibility of keeping the UFC arena on the White House South Lawn — built for a series of fights on his birthday and Flag Day — permanently. https://t.co/rJKHCuDn8I
I see the gullible are out in force this morning pushing a fake AI JC Penney ad.
Look at the word registered in the bottom left.
In 1976 I was not starring in Star Trek; it was in syndication on afternoon TV. And no store would ever use a tagline: “Shop ‘til it makes sense” 🙄
#StarTrekENT “Sleeping Dogs” was another good one from season 1. I liked seeing more of the early human interactions with the Klingons and the reactions the Enterprise crew had when seeing the Klingon aesthetics.
I do wish we could have seen more of Bu'kaH. I love Klingon women.
