@iAK1707 Highly Incorrect.
This is ASSAM REGIMENTS REGIMENTAL SONG.
While ASSAM REGT IS INDIAN ARMY.
ASSAM RIFLES IS A PARA-MILITARY POST.

KINDLY DELETE YOUR POST OR AMEND IT.
The post is INCORRECT.

@MNageswarRaoIPS Your letter to Gen VK Singh is insensitive and devoid of facts. When a young army officer and his fiancee approach the police, it is to seek help. We do not expect the protectors to become predators. [1/3]

Sorry to correct you you have the unit WRONG though the message you are trying to convey is right intentioned .

It was 9 Garhwal Rifles - and It was my father Col Ashwani Kumar Mohan CO, 9 GarhRif and sadly you have
1) A lot of facts wrong
2) The spirit of your post is right and intentions right too
3)May be you should talk to my dear father who not only stood up to the civil authorities but his own !!

who had declared the reason of death of both kids as drowning in the first post mortem - it was my father who literally “hid” the respected bodies in safe custody and refused the cremation till Rajiv Gandhi Institute of forensics was involved and a second post mortem conducted.
It was finally in the second post partem that “death by drowning was declared FALSE & death by asphyxiation declared!

All I will say is This is just one incident where my father not only remained true to his men his duty & Army there are many more !

The Then COAS Late Gen Joshi famously commented about my father -
“This CO is made of steel & has the b***s to tell me “Sir, Unit affairs are a commanding officer’s perrogative no one including yourself should interfere in the same”

My Father paid heavy price for this stance when he told the then Div Cmndr “ I did not bring these epaulettes from my home “ I will sacrifice them in an instant for my Subedar Major and other Jawans but not let any procedural harm come to them “
& famously The SM went home an Honorary Captain 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

My father is just that.
A good man.

Wayanad rescue teams who dangerously trekked deep into the forest in hope for survivors, rescued 4 toddlers hiding in a cave

Kalpetta Range Forest Officer spotted the mother wandering around dense Attamala forest in search of food for her family who were starved for nearly 5 days. She led the teams to a cave only to find 4 little boys aged between 1 & 4yrs. The tribal family was brought to safety in an 8hr mission

When hardly any hope left for survival days after the #WayanadLandslide, this was nothing short of a miracle⭐
