@MartinSLewis For rent payments to be proof of affordability for mortgages. I’m a single person who pays out £2k a month for rent, bills and shopping/ petrol. (Which is only going to go up). Saving for a deposit will take a decade easily.

@AaronReevesArt @OVOEnergy @SSE @MartinSLewis And just for context I started 2022 paying £49 a month on a fix. Changed to £97 in June. And am now paying £130. So nearly triple the amount in 6 months. And despite paying so low I am STILL in credit. This country is on its ass and this scaremongering on energy is simple wrong

The email I wake up to this morning. Absolute scaremongering by @OVOEnergy. I’m a single person living in a second floor flat this is what they think I should be paying for energy. I also didn’t choose to be their customer,@SSE shipped me off to them. @MartinSLewis is this right?

The estimate usage for a month was 700 units higher than actual usage. They wanted £170 a month DD I said no. So settled at 130. It’s still too much IMO

It’s been 5 days and nothing. So I’ll give them til Monday then I’m cancelling the direct debit. They’ll soon call me back then
