@docgoble At 25 sec the ball starts to come out of Higgins’ hands. His cutaneous system relays the lack of pressure of his hands on the ball as well as information as to which direction the ball is moving. This provides the information his brain needs to bring it back under his control.
@forclass32@YouTube This video is so cool because the EMG is being used not only to measure muscle activity, but we see a real application of it being used to measure grip strength as well!

I found this video of a more mobile version of EMG’s being used to monitor muscle movement in athletes as they exercise, allowing early detection of potential overuse injuries.

@GiannaTaj@YouTube This video is so cool. I know it shows it in slow motion, but in reality, she only had milliseconds to see the bar, orient herself (since she just did a backflip), and adjust her hands to grab the bar.
Found a video of a crazy talented artist who can not only draw 8 crazy realistic portraits, but can draw them all at the same time using both her hands and her feet!

I’m taking #EXS3030@OaklanduSHS with @docgoble because I love learning about how the human body works. In particular, I’m looking forward to learning applications to the anatomy and physiology I have learned in prior classes.
