The CBX court date is currently scheduled for September 3, although the date can still change depending on the court or either party.

Before the hearing, we want to remind everyone of a few important things:

Plaintiff: SM Entertainment
Defendants: CBX

1. This is a civil lawsuit.
This means SM and CBX have a disagreement over their contract, and because they could not resolve it themselves, they have asked the court to decide who is legally right based on the evidence.

2. This is NOT a criminal case.
Nobody is being tried for a crime, and nobody is being declared guilty or innocent. This is simply a legal dispute between the two sides over a contract.

3. This case is separate from CBX’s EXO activities.
The ongoing court case is strictly about resolving financial and contract terms, not managing EXO’s schedule. SM has previously tied group participation to mutual trust and dispute resolution. While resolving this legal dispute could clear a major hurdle, full-group schedules would ultimately happen only through mutual agreement and corporate cooperation between both sides outside the courtroom.

4. Don’t expect the case to end on September 3.
A court hearing is not the same as a final verdict. Civil cases can take months or even 1/2 years, especially if either side appeals.

5. There may not be constant updates.
These cases can involve private contracts, financial information, and other confidential business matters, so there may not be much, or anything, publicly reported. Please do not believe every “insider” account or random update online. Wait for official statements or reliable sources.
