I would recommend the book If Sharks Disappeared by Lily Williams. This book is a great classroom tool to teach kids about sharks and how important they are to this atmosphere. Many look at sharks as scary and this book introduces sharks in a new light. #JanTerm2023

On key takeaway I had from our lesson on picture books is that each author and illustrator has their own unique way of creating books! I have noticed that each picture book I read is never the exact same as the one I read before! #Janterm2023
A key takeaway from our lecture about picture books was how crucial picture books are to children. I never realized how much of an impact just a picture book can have in a child’s life.
On Friday we had the opportunity to read children’s books out loud to our bookclub. I read The Truth about Cats, and I believe this book provides great visuals and creativity to a children’s book #JanTerm2023
The Hunger Games would be a window because the story is based on lives of people who are competing in a competition and you are reading through a “window” of their experience. #JanTerm2023

The Great Gatsby is on the banned book list. This was a staple to my high school English class. One of my favorite books I read. This book shouldn’t be band as it is a unique and educational book about the 20’s. #edu351#BannedBooksWeek@TamraDollar
In book club I learned the importance of culture. I think it’s so important that we have diversity in schools and that all races feel included and seen. 🍎 #edu351@TamraDollar
