The corporate world is truly surreal, 2hr “2027 strategy” meeting with 15 senior leaders… only takeaway is to schedule another meeting w/c 20th April after talking in circles & of course we had at least 3hrs of meetings preparing for this. Unbelievable

Things have got undeniably more expensive but I really do think life feels so unaffordable because of the fiscal drag / tax thresholds being frozen. Any payrise has been negated by tax. It is so frustrating

Should have been graduating my PhD today, but alas instead I’m still chasing a non responsive external examiner about a new (extremely postponed) VIVA date. Academia is not for the weak

Handed in my PhD thesis in March of this year, examiner has repeatedly deferred my Viva & is now asking for end of Jan 2026. This limbo is agonising - I’ve done my work and now the University is withholding the final steps 🥲😅
