@historywali Last week, I had a guided visit of Rastrapati Bhavan. This Roses concept for butler to understand the preference of Guests was explained by the Guided. There are 3 Tiny Lights controlled by the Head Butler, which are used to instruct the Butlers on actions.

@DealsDhamaka In 2024, when my grandmother passed away, over 30 members of our family took a vow to give up one of her favourites - Mango, Purnam Bobbatlu, Parle-G, Anjeer etc. But one of her most loved grandchild chose not to. He said, “Grandma would scold me if I don’t eat them.” 😃😂

@DealsDhamaka In Marathi Families, it's very common. On the 13th day, the family members vow to not eat one favourite food of the deceased for one year. On the First Samvatsarikam ritual, that food is offered to the deceased and eaten by those respective individuals.

@RoseOnX9 Sriharsha garu's mom Madhavi garu is a renowned Paediatrician and she was our family doctor in childhood. In fact, I had received my SSC School award from her. His father owns Minerva Restaurant in Vijayawada. His grandfather was also a famous businessman and philanthropist.

@UnofficialA07 After each poem, all the family members put Flowers and Akshintalu on couple and then go to the next poem. There are specially trained ladies and gents who are invited to sing the Mangalastak in weddings. Overall rituals on wedding day are not as time taking as in south india.

@UnofficialA07 In a Maharashtrian wedding, "Mangalastak" a 5 set of poems are sung at the Muhurtham. This is most important in their traditions. Rest Mangalasutram, Talambralu, Saptapadi all will follow but they are not as time taking as in the Telugu weddings.

@Ramvarma2025 Not only that, Padmanabhasevini Sri Aswathy Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bayi is an acclaimed writer with 10 books to her credit. She is the niece of legendary last King of Travancore, Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma. She was awarded Padma Shri in 2024. She's very ground to earth.

@KiranKS Solapur is a confluence of Marathi, Kannada and Telugu people. Due to the once sprawling Textile industry, many from the Telugu Padmashali community migrated and settled in Solapur. Being on the Karnataka border, the kannada influence is also huge there.

@insidemalli @HydLitFest It was disheartening not to find any meaningful representation of Telugu literature at the @HydLitFest except for very few like Khadeer babu garu's.

In Hyderabad, a city synonymous with Telugu language and heritage, such an omission points to serious gaps in planning.
