The Fascist Terrorist Myanmar Military Junta (SAC)has continued a series of aerial bombings and drone attacks on locations sheltering war-displaced civilians in Kyaukphyu Township, Arakan.
On January 24, 2026, at approximately 12:55 p.m. and 12:58 p.m., two military drones launched attacks on a high school compound in Muryin Village, Zinchaung Village Tract, Kyaukphyu Township. At the time of the attack, the school was hosting innocent civilians who had fled fighting from nearby villages. The assault was carried out by the fascist terrorist Military Council forces using two drones.
As a result of the attack, two displaced civilians were killed inside the Muryin school compound, and five others—including an infant—were injured.
Those killed were identified as Daw Phru Nu Ma (81) and U Hmè Daung (56), both from Thaingchaung Village, Kyaukphyu Township.
The injured are as follows:
1. Maung Aye Morn Khine (9 months), from Saikhun Dwin Village
2. Daw Khin San Worn (34), from Saikhun Dwin Village
3. Daw Ma Mra Yin (56), from Thaingchaung Village
4. Daw Banu Ma (67), from Zai Chaung Village
5. U Maung Kyaw (63), from Zai Chaung Village
Later the same day, at around 4:40 p.m., the Fascist Terrorist Myanmar Military Junta (SAC) again attacked Muryin Village using two drones. At approximately 5:20 p.m., a jet fighter conducted aerial bombings on both Muryin Village and Konbaung Village.
Previously, on January 18 and 19, 2026, the Fascist Terrorist Myanmar Military Junta (SAC) also launched attacks on Kyauk Kale Village in Kyaukphyu Township using jet fighters and drones, in addition to heavy artillery fired from naval warships deployed offshore. These attacks killed two civilians, injured two others, and destroyed several civilian homes by fire.
Furthermore, on January 22, 2026, a drone attack was carried out on Zinchaung Konbwe Village in Kyaukphyu Township, injuring two innocent civilians.
These repeated attacks underscore the ongoing targeting of civilian populations and displacement sites in Arakan, in violation of international humanitarian and human rights principles.

Appalled by the attack on Mrauk-U Hospital in Rakhine State, Myanmar.
At least 33 people have been killed and 20 injured, including health workers, patients and family members. Hospital infrastructure was severely damaged, with operating rooms and the main inpatient ward completely destroyed.
Mrauk-U People’s Hospital is the primary health care center in the area, providing health and emergency services, obstetric care, and surgical capacity. This attack will disrupt access to health care for entire communities.
This is the 67th attack on health verified by @WHOMyanmar this year.
Every attack on health care is an attack on humanity. Health facilities, patients and health workers must be protected at all times. Stop attacks on health care!
A Child Silenced by War: The Unbearable Cost of the Junta’s Terror in Arakan
This image captures the unspeakable horror inflicted upon the people of Arakan. A child—covered in dust, debris, and the scars of unimaginable violence—lies still, a life stolen by the Terrorist Myanmar Military’s relentless and inhuman attacks.
There is no battlefield here.
No soldiers.
Only a child whose future was erased in an instant.
The small, fragile body tells the story of a war waged against civilians — against families, against children who never had a chance to run, hide, or understand why the sky rained death.
This is not just a tragedy.
It is a crime against humanity.
Every life lost in Arakan is a wound to the people, a reminder of the brutality unleashed upon innocent communities. And in this image, the world is forced to confront the truth:
the junta’s terror spares no one — not even the youngest, not even the most helpless.
This child should have been laughing, growing, dreaming.
Instead, they become another heartbreaking symbol of the suffering endured by Arakan.
The world must see.
The world must know.
And the world must not look away.
