Restoring confidence & making sure justice will be served.
Thank you @amritpal.singh.mehron @thekaurmovement team for heading out to Delhi in such short notice
The kaur movement foundation will be providing financial support.
@SikhScientists We won’t have a website for this and it’s not public information, it’s something I just created myself through the kaur movement platform and individuals that have come forward to us. So we did not have to collect any funds, just spending time making the list and adding onto it.
@SikhScientists I think your idea is great. The focus on gurdwara members/ granthis is much needed and the sangat would be informed. With us, it’s our own background checks we have done regarding the individuals. We keep all the confidential information given to us and have made a list.
@HideandSikhh All my volunteers go through a vetting process. Secondly, no volunteer from my teams are allowed to respond to any victim/survivor of abuse unless they are a certified support worker/mental health worker.
@HideandSikhh@ItsJas___ @RebelliousKaur @KaurMovementUK I’m sorry but I don’t respond to emails that aren’t from victims/survivors. I did not respond because I did not feel that someone questioning who my volunteers are is important, Nor will I disclose their names. I get over 60+ emails a day, my main priority is survivors of abuse.
@HideandSikhh@ItsJas___ @RebelliousKaur @KaurMovementUK I don’t give anyone “permission”. Everyone has the right to contact whoever they want for support. He was told he can reach out to whoever he wants too and it doesn’t have to be only us or be restricted to just us. Whatever he is comfortable with.
@HideandSikhh@ItsJas___ @RebelliousKaur @KaurMovementUK If it wasn’t a “social media war” for you then you would of contacted me directly first regarding the survivor instead of publicly posting and saying things like we “abandon” survivors. My priority on emails is victims/survivors first, since this seems to need attention, email me
