been a minute since i showed up properly on CT, so here’s a lil overdue intro for all the legends, lurkers, and future friends who somehow ended up on my feed
certified engineer, part-time data nerd, Jumped
jumped into web3 when Elon Musk started talking about Dogecoin, thought I’d just make a quick buck, ended up going full degen and never looked back
massive shoutout to @mrcryptowoke for dragging me in deeper and making sure I stuck around for the real wild rides
Currently a growth marketer at @hypepartners, huge gratitude to the crew for letting me experiment, fail, win, and do it all over again
Over the last few years, worked on wild campaigns, built some insane communities, and taken enough market Ls to call myself a veteran. The latest bull cycle was straight up pain, but we keep showing up for the story
picked up stamps from 8 countries, still got 185 left. managed to get myself kidnapped and extorted over an OTC deal, 10/10 don’t recommend it, got rekted twice in the past year
these days, gym arc in full swing. if i can’t pump my bags, i’ll settle for biceps. martial artist loading...
if you see me tweeting at 3 am, just know it’s either preworkout talking or i’m somewhere in an airport lounge, planning my next escape. outside of charts, i’m deep in anime or manga, or plotting how to turn remote work into a full digital nomad arc
lately i’ve been obsessed with building AI workflows to automate all the boring stuff, crunch on-chain data like a true nerd, and make sure I can shitpost from literally anywhere
if you made it to the end, you’re officially CT fam. pull up in the replies, tag a fellow degen, or drop your wildest crypto survivor story
eat, sleep, shill, repeat
Can you really replace your CMO with AI?
Short answer: no.
Long answer: join us live tomorrow, and we'll show you why.
Hear from @0xDannyHype, @glitch_, and @ashnichrist + surprise AI fiends.

Hot take:
most AI CMOs are just repackaged common sense with better UX
Our team built one in a few hours to test it
it’s… decent
But nowhere close to replacing real execution
run your project through it
then ask yourself
“now what?"

The best founders don’t just build products, they build belief.
But belief requires a story, and most founders never take the time to craft one.
@hypebootcamp is Hype’s messaging development sprint for founders who are ready to turn their vision into a story.
We started with the ‘crypto marketing is a scam’ era.
That became the ‘crypto marketers are terrible’ era,
we’ve now moved into the ‘I can do crypto marketing myself’ era.
They all end the same way.
If you’re getting brainwashed to believe you can run your entire marketing stack with a claude front end today and don’t need to know anything about marking funnels, cognitive biases, human psychology, taste and everything else people have spent years finessing then we should probably talk.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m the biggest advocate of AI in marketing you’ll find, just ask anyone in my team. I just think you need to use it right or you’re going to be wasting a ton of time and money on something that ultimately doesn’t deliver the results you need.
No introspection. Only attention-grabbing and shipping.
Or is the whole thing just a bait?
Marc Andreessen is having fun, and so should you.

There’s been a lot of posturing on the timeline this week after the EF mandate and focus on CROPS.
Spent a few days thinking about it and honestly I don’t buy the idea this is a sudden 180 like some are arguing. Most of what’s in there has been true of Ethereum for years.
One thing the mandate did get me thinking about though is something I’m going to call narrative decentralisation.
If the foundation positions itself purely as a neutral steward rather than helping shape the ecosystem narrative, the story of Ethereum increasingly gets told by the ecosystem itself. The apps, infra teams and projects.
That probably means more competing narratives and some fragmentation at first. But also potentially more creativity in how the ecosystem eventually explains itself.
Ethereum history shows the strongest narratives rarely come from one place anyway. They tend to emerge organically from the ecosystem. Ultrasound money is a good example. It started as an idea from Justin Drake and ended up becoming one of Ethereum’s most powerful memes once the ecosystem ran with it.
That said, EF has absolutely had moments where it shaped the story of Ethereum brilliantly. World Computer was one of the most powerful narratives in crypto. And some of the work people like @lou3ee , @binji_x and the team have done over the last year has massively improved how EF shows up publicly.
But there have also been long periods where Ethereum’s story wasn’t championed clearly enough.
Selfishly I suspect it’s net positive for agencies and ecosystem marketers. If narrative leadership decentralises, not just for Ethereum but perhaps other similar L1 ecosystems, the importance of teams who can help projects explain themselves clearly probably increases.
So I’m fairly neutral on whether this is a good or bad move atm. We’ll have to see how it plays out.
Maybe the model ends up looking closer to open source ecosystems like Linux, where the foundation protects the principles and the ecosystem tells the story.
Either way, the most interesting bit for me now probably isn’t the mandate itself. It’s how the story of Ethereum gets told from here.
